Supporting Mind and Body Through Lifestyle
Lifestyle A-Z
In health coaching, lifestyle refers to a person's habits around eating, moving, sleeping, and stress management. It can be confusing to sift through all the online info about best practices in any one of these areas, so I have created a library of evidence-based, healthy lifestyle resources from authorities I trust. This is a work in progress, and I will be adding and amending sections as I go and as research reveals new guidelines.

A special note for clients with a medical diagnosis: Chronic diseases are conditions that last 12 months or longer and require ongoing medical care. Examples include type-2 diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, stroke, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and Alzheimer's disease. Many chronic diseases can be prevented or managed through lifestyle change, even in people with genetic risk factors. Understanding the link between lifestyle and disease can help you make changes that improve your prognosis.
